Ball Glove Relacing/Reconditioning
Everyone who has ever played ball knows what it is like to get a new glove and go through the
lengthy process of breaking it in. Once you have accomplished that task, the glove becomes a part
of you. It feels like an integral part of your hand and you are comfortable and confident of your
ability to perform with it. No ballplayer ever wants to part with his or her old "friend" and go through
the agony of breaking in a new glove. That's what Glovemeister is all about, extending the life of
that faithful old "friend."
Welcome to the Glovemeister website!
My name is Gary Blake, the owner of Glovemeister, and I have been
relacing gloves most of my adult life. During my playing days, I started
out by relacing my own gloves, as well as a few belonging to my
teammates. When I began coaching in 1987, I extended the lacing
service to the players who participated on my various teams. Gradually
other people, not directly connected to my teams, began asking me to
repair their gloves and eventually that evolved into this business.
If you have a glove that has reached that stage in its life cycle, I would like to help you get it back in
the game. Just use the contact link at the top of this page to get in touch with me for a free estimate
via e-mail, phone, or snail mail. Your glove will be back on the field in no time!
I enjoy lacing gloves and it's like anything else; the more times you perform a task, the more you
learn about it and the better you get at it. I use only the highest quality lacing materials, leather
cleaners, and leather conditioners in order to assure that my customers will be completely satisfied
with the results of my work. I also strive to provide my customers with 24-hour turnaround from the
time that I receive their glove, as long as it utilizes standard tan or black laces. I am able to get
laces in a variety of other colors, but always maintain a regular inventory of tan and black.
